Death of the Kazakh poet Adam Mekebayev

Adam Mekebayev was born in 1940 in the Karmakchinsky region of the Kyzyl-Orda area. Graduated from the S.M.Kirov Kazakh State University, at the same time cooperating with the republican youth newspaper «Leninshil zhas», and worked as an editor in Zhazushy publishing house. A.Mekbayev worked in the office of the Ministry of Culture.

He was an author of two collections of stories: "Zhadyra" (1970) and "Witch" (1973). In 1976 A.Mekebayev's collection of verses and poems «Steppe character», in 1978 — a collection of stories "Dry wind" were published.
