Poet, writer and translator TORE RAKHMAN (full name - Tuyakbay Toregeldi Rakhmanberdi-uly) was born in 1955 in South-Kazakhstan, Ordabasy. He is a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR and Kazakhstan and a laureate of a number of literary and artistic competitions. He has worked in magazines, publishing houses and public services for many years. Many poetry books of his have been published and some of his works have been translated into foreign languages.
He is engaged in research in the field of literary translation and linguistics, and has a PhD in Political Science.
