Beksultan Nurzhekeyev – a kazakh writer - was born in 1941 in Dzhambul communal farm (kolkhoz) of the October region of the Taldykurgan area. In 1965 graduated from philological faculty of Kirov Kazakh state university. Worked as a teacher, a first secretary of Panfilov regional committee of Komsomol, a lecturer, an instructor of the Central Committee of LKSM of Kazakhstan, the manager of Zhalyn almanac and Zhuldyz magazine departments. From 1976 to 1980 Beksultan Nurzhekeyev worked as a deputy chief editor of Zhalyn publishing house. Now he is a Senior Editor of the same publishing house. A member of CPSU.
Beksultan Nurzhekeyev is the author of books «Guilty love» (1972, stories), «In expectation of the singer» (1974) and «Only one love» (1977, stories), the novel "Live in hope" (1980).
