Gulnar Salykbay was born on May 15, 1963 in village Zhambyl East Kazakhstan region. She is the winner of award named after T. Aybergenov, award of Youth Union of Kazakhstan, and the winner of International literary award “Alash”. Prize winner of the competition dedicated to Abay’s 150th anniversary. In 2013 participated in International competition “Шыгыс шынары” (“Shygys Shynary”), which took place in Ust-Kamenogors city and she won the grand prix.
