Bakhyt Tursynovich Sarbalayev was born in 1947 in Kyzyl-Orda region. He graduated from Kyzyl-Orda state pedagogic institute named after N.V. Gogol in 1969.
Since 1970 he worked in republic publications — newspapers “Казахстан мугалими” (“Kazakhstan Mugalimi”), “Лениншил жас” (“Leninshil Zhas”). Now he is an editor of the almanac “Жалын” (“Zhalyn”).
He published a number of articles, literary researches, the essay in republican newspapers and magazines, and also in collections “Writer and Time”, “In the Country of Words”.
