Kenzhegulova Narbin Smagulovna - a first female fantast in Kazakhstan, writing in the Kazakh and Russian languages. Her first collection of children's stories "Moiylkara" (“Black currant”) was written and published in 1982. Then more than 20 books were published. Among them: “Tanbala tas” ("Rock drawing") “, Kiyn sheshym” (“The difficult decision”) “,On the threshold of hell”.
In 2001 Narbin Smagulovna defended the scientific dissertation about December events of 1986 “Coverage of December revolt in the press of Kazakhstan. Pros and cons” which contains a deep analysis of tragic events. Narbin Smagulovna is a professional translator, she translated works by Medeu Sarsekeev, Dukenbay Doszhan, Adam Mekebayev, besides, she translated Muammar Gaddafi's “Green book” from Iranian into Kazakh.
