Rena Zhumanova - the journalist-freelancer and the poet, whose free literary creativity is connected with the main field of activity. The graduate of the Kazakh national conservatory named after Kurmangazy, the musicologist, the teacher of Kokshetau musical college named after Birzhan-sal with almost twenty-year experience, Rena Zhumanova admits that her heart forever lodged on the verge of two arts.
First verses were written when she studied at school and the first newspaper notes – in the years of study in musical college. In 2012 the name of R. Zhumanova entered in a long-list of one hundred finalists of the annual National Russian award “Poet of the Year”. R. Zhumanova's works are published in regional print media, the literary and art magazine “Kokshetau”, the St. Petersburg almanac “Ogni Gavani”, almanacs of the Russian national awards “Poet of the Year” and “Наследие” (“Heritage”). R. Zhumanova's cycle “Twenty sonnets to Shokan Ualikhanov”, permanently drawing attention of readers, got a favorable response of the famous Kazakhstan writer Bakhytzhan Kanapyanov. In March, 2015 Rena successfully finished courses of literary skill of Andrey Vorontsov, Russian writer and publicist, head of a seminar of prose of High Literary Courses at Litinstitut named after Gorky. Her first poetical collection was published on May in the publishing house “Мир печати” (“World of publishing”).
