Khadzhimurat Syzdykov was born in 1920 in village Karaagash of Kokshetau region. He is the participant of Grate Patriotic War.
He graduated from Kazakh pedagogic institute named after Abai. He worked as the senior editor of “Mektep” publishing house. Now — the senior editor of the Kazakh Soviet Encyclopedia.
The main area of literary activity — a literary translation. He possesses the translations of stories of V. Vasilevsky “В борьбе роковой” (“In fight fatal”, 1962), “Просто любовь” (“Just love”, 1967), “Брестская крепость” (“The Brest fortress”, 1967) of S. Smirnov. J. Ngugi's novel “Пшеничное зерно” (“Wheat grain”, 1972), R. Tagore's stories, I. Bunin, G. Markov's novel “Сибирь” (“Siberia”, 1977), L. Tolstoy's story “Отец Сергий” (“Otets Sergyi”, 1978).
