Murat Shaimaran was born in 1969 in Urumchi, China. From 1988 to 1993 he studied at Ili Pedagogic Institute, Faculty of the Kazakh Language and Literature. In 1993 he worked as an editor-in-chief at the newspaper “Kuitin” in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. From 1996 to 1998 he studied at Chinese National University, Institute of Journalism (by correspondence) in the department of master’s degree in the city of Najin, China.
In 2000 from the Journalists’ Union of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China he got the award “Excellent literary editor”. In 2004 he moved to his motherland — Kazakhstan.
M. Shaimaran worked as an instructor at Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Faculty of Journalism, from 2008 to 2010 was the Deputy Dean of the Faculty in educational work.
In 2010 he was awarded the Gratitude letter from G.M. Mutanov, rector of KazNU himself on the occasion of the Independence Day. Murat Shaimaran is the well-known in the republic figure.
He is the author of such books as “Tungi saryn”, “Erkin aspan oleni”. Also, he has got much experience in the sphere of journalism. M. Shaimaran found the common language with students and gave them the right direction in their professional path. Actively participated in all the events conducted by the university and faculty.
